The "Nedland" ran aground at Grønsund in the morning of Mar 24, 2011. The vessel has meanwhile been refloated and towed to the port of Korsør, where it will be surveyed for damage. The ship was underway from Landskrona, where it had departed on Mar 22 at 3.30 p.m., to Nörrkoping, when it got stuck between Falster and Møn. It had no pilot on board, but it was a pilot who observed that the ship was stuck, and reported it to the Danish authorities. These are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the grounding and the "Nedland" will not be allowed to proceed before the Søfartsstyrelsen has given permission.
