The Turkish company, represented in Italy by Gastaldi group’s shipagent Delta, will operate the trade in co-operation with Seago Lines
Some 15 days ago Turkish shipping company Turkon Line closed its service between Northern Europe and the Mediterranean Sea and continued it through chartered spots on Arkas’ and Tarros’ ships. The relevant ships were assigned to the trade between US and Turkey, which will be strengthened, in the next months, by two further vessels. Moreover last week the company announced two new services: one to Northern Europe and one between Turkey and the West Med.
“The latter service has been named West Med–Turkey Line and will be operated, in co-operation with Maersk group’s Seago Line, as from next February by Turkon’s 1,147 TEUs Furth and Seago’s 1,306 TEUs Wybelsum. On both ships Turkon will have a 65% booking capacity and Seago the remaining” says Simonetta Luciani, line manager at Gastaldi group’s shipagent Delta Agenzia Marittima, representing Turkon in Italy.
The service will call on fixed weekdays with westbound rotation Evyap, Gemlik, Istanbul, Aliaga, Barcelona, Marseille Fos, and Genoa (at Terminal San Giorgio like the former one) and eastbound rotation Barcelona, Marseille Fos, Genoa, Evyap, Gemlik, Istanbul, and Aliaga.
