Frigate USS Taylor, which had her propeller damaged when grounded during berthing operation in Samsun port early February; passed through the Strait od Istanbul today at noon times.
Towed by tugboat Coastal Voyager; the USS Taylor have been actively escorted by two tugs of Turkish Coastal safety Administration: Kurtarma 6 and Kurtarma 7. A pilot was also took part in the passage operation.
The USS Taylor entered the Strait at 10:30 today and the passage took approximately 2 hours.
